Job Summary

Evaluate and diagnose pain disorders to formulate treatment plans, including interventions or medical management, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for multimodal treatment strategies. Supervise APPs and train medical students, residents, and fellows. Provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage, with inpatient services and IP rounding in the Oakland facility. This role offers .6 clinical efforts for FY27 and includes competitive compensation with salary, incentives, benefits, retirement, and malpractice insurance. CME funds of $4,110 are provided annually. The UPMC Pain Medicine Division combines research, clinical, and educational components within an interdisciplinary approach addressing biological, psychological, and social factors in pain management.

Required Qualifications

  • BC/BE fellowship-trained interventional pain (IP) physician
  • DEA
  • ABA Certification in Pain Management
  • ACLS/BLS
  • Rotating weekend coverage
  • Holiday coverage (one holiday a year)
