Job Summary
Assist patients pre and post care by taking vital signs, performing physical therapy modalities as directed, and documenting subjective patient comments on progress notes. Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms, monitor equipment controls, launder linens, and manage inventory supplies. Support general office operations including filing, chart preparation, phone answering, patient registration, posting charges, and scanning. Travel to other locations as directed to maintain adequate coverage for quality patient care. Maintain office neatness and perform other duties as necessary. Preferred candidates are bilingual in Spanish and English.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- State Certification or enrollment in an approved course of study to include 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours of in-office training to become State Certified within one year of employment
- Certification in CPR and/or First Aid
- 1-year experience in office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care
- Tact and skill in patient management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers
