Job Summary
Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.; take vital signs; perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.; accurately document modalities performed and subjective patient comments on progress notes; maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms; monitor controls on physical therapy equipment; launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc.; maintain inventory and order supplies; assist in general office operations (filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, cleaning); travel to other locations to ensure quality patient care; cross-train between the Patient Representative and Chiropractic Assistant roles in our Elkton, MD office. The role requires CPR/First Aid certification, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- State Certification or enrollment in an approved course of study to become State Certified within one year of employment (20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours)
- Certification in CPR and/or First Aid
- 1-year experience in office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care
