Job Summary
The Chip Runner is responsible for ensuring smooth operations on the gaming floor, managing chip runs, assisting dealers, maintaining proper chip inventory, and providing support to poker games. Key responsibilities include seating players, delivering chips to the Cage, addressing guest needs, ensuring game flow, and keeping the poker area clean and organized. Candidates should have excellent knowledge of Texas Hold'em rules, experience in dealing poker preferred, strong math skills, and strong customer service abilities. The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment, adhering to Title 31 regulations, and being part of a team to enhance the guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of Texas Hold'em poker rules and hand rankings (Required)
- Ability to walk and move quickly around the gaming floor
- Clear verbal communication with guests, dealers, and supervisors
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience dealing poker in a casino or card house setting (preferred)
- Strong math skills with the ability to perform quick mental calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
