Chinese Language-Enabled OSINT Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct in-depth research and provide analytical support for client mission sets by translating, transcribing, and interpreting highly technical foreign language information into colloquial English. Work bidirectionally between Mandarin Chinese and English to validate information and develop accurate environmental pictures for senior policymakers and the broader IC. Perform high-volume, accurate translation and interpretation while executing quality control, review, and gisting tasks as necessary. This role requires a minimum ILR score of 2 in Mandarin Chinese, an active TS/SCI clearance, and 4+ years of open-source research experience. Located in Dayton, OH, the position supports Altamira Technologies' mission to deliver actionable intelligence to the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience conducting open-source research, including use of associated tradecraft and tools
- Experience conducting research in the source language
- Ability to demonstrate a minimum ILR score of 2 or ACTFL Advanced Low in listening and reading in Mandarin Chinese
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of other IC disciplines (SIGINT, HUMINT, etc.)
- Experience using machine translation tools to complete human-assisted translations
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience using Artificial Intelligence tools to decrease analysis and production timelines
- Computer programming fundamentals/experience (Python, SQL, etc.)
