Job Summary
Director-level leadership in China Search & Evaluation within Sanofi’s China Strategy & Business Development. Leads external opportunity identification, in-depth technical assessment, and multi-disciplinary due diligence for China-for-China and China-for-global deals; drives landscaping, competitive intelligence, and alignment with Global teams. Builds and sustains senior-level relationships with Chinese external partners; guides deal structuring and governance, and ensures high-quality project leadership across the deal lifecycle. Requires deep expertise in drug discovery and early clinical development, strong cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence without authority. Travel as needed; extensive experience in S&E, BD, or tech transfer, and a proven track record of supporting successful strategic partnerships in immunology-related therapeutic areas.
Required Qualifications
- PhD and/or MD degree in Immunology (or closely related field)
- 8+ years of experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong track record in search & evaluation, business development, or academic technology transfer
- Extensive scientific excellence evidenced by publications and experience in discovery and early clinical development
- Strong network within the China biotech ecosystem and in global collaboration contexts
- Proven ability to lead due diligence processes for complex clinical-stage assets
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to represent Sanofi in external scientific and business settings
