Job Summary
Lead end-to-end trade operations and customs compliance for Lumentum's Shenzhen and Dongguan sites, partnering with supply chain and logistics providers to ensure efficient, compliant goods movement. Supervise HS Code classification, Country of Origin, and Customs Valuation while managing audits, inquiries, and regulatory risks with local authorities. Guide business stakeholders on daily trade activities, conduct internal risk assessments, and implement corrective action plans for continuous program improvement. Identify duty savings opportunities through bonded manufacturing and temporary import/export strategies, while driving AEO upgrades and training initiatives for the lean trade team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or above degree in law, international business, supply chain, or related
- 10+ years of China customs operation and compliance work experience
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Proven proficiency across all activities mentioned in the Core Responsibilities section
- Strong proficiency in customs clearance efficiency enhancement
- Strong analytical and risk mitigation skills and mindfulness in complex regulatory scenarios
- Effective communicator with the ability to advise and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership for a lean and productive team
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with Global Trade Management or ERP-based compliance tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience for HK and APAC region customs operation&compliance will be a plus
- Solid work experience in prestigious law firms and consulting firms will be a plus
