Job Summary
Diagnose chillers and related equipment with a full understanding of product operations. Assemble, repair, and maintain chillers while performing maintenance and repair on all chiller manufacturers. Assist in the overhaul and servicing of chillers, adhering to company policies, safety regulations, and the Quality System operating procedures. Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requires a 313A 4th year to mechanic, G1/G2 license, and Certified Red Seal Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic certification. This role supports GDI Ainsworth's growing Toronto GTA team in delivering end-to-end asset maintenance and refurbishment solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 313A 4th year to mechanic
- G1/G2
- Certified Red Seal Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic
- Must have centrifugal experience as well as screw, scroll and piston compressor
- Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the HVAC Refrigeration trade
- A current and valid Ontario driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Tear down experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preference given for dual Journeyman Certification (Electrician, Plumber, Gas)
