Job Summary
Conduct chiller and related equipment troubleshooting and service jobs for industrial and commercial customers, performing routine service activities without direct oversight. Diagnose issues efficiently while communicating tactfully with diverse customer groups, service staff, and management. Execute point-of-work sales for services, components, and contracts, and develop lead referrals for the sales team. Support Installation Department assignments as directed. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety, driving only for company use without phone distraction. Operate under varying stress levels and weather conditions in Florida, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years in duration
- Five or more years of successful experience as a commercial chiller/refrigeration service technician
- EPA Certification
- Good verbal and reading skills include the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and other CES employees
- Possess good vision (either naturally or with correction)
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 60 pounds frequently
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Climb and balance on ladders and stand for long periods of time
- Must not have fear of heights (acrophobia)
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier
- Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing his or her HVACR skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities
