Job Summary
Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of chillers and central plant equipment. Requires 5+ years of experience with various chiller types, including centrifugal and screw compressors, as well as familiarity with VFD's, cooling towers, and heat exchangers. Position demands effective communication with supervisors and customers regarding equipment conditions and necessary repairs, alongside thorough record-keeping of work performed. Must prioritize safety practices and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of exposure to Chillers
- Knowledge of centrifugal compressors (York, Trane, Carrier, Smardt, Daikin)
- Experience with screw compressors and chillers (air and water cooled)
- Familiarity with reciprocating compressors (air and water cooled)
- Understanding of VFD's and centrifugal pumps
- Experience with cooling towers and filtration systems
- Knowledge of heat exchangers (flat plate/tube and shell)
- Proficiency in EMS Control sequences and integration with central plant equipment
- Experience with process chilled water systems/equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain large tonnage A/H systems
