Job Summary
Chiller Technician responsible for HVAC startup, warranty support, service repairs, and preventive maintenance of commercial/residential equipment. Duties include startup and warranty support for factory ACS equipment, coordinating warranty claims, procuring parts, diagnosing and upgrading electronic controllers (e.g., MCS controllers), managing large service projects with subcontractors and scheduling, performing mechanical/electrical inspections, preventive maintenance tasks (oil, belt adjustments, cleaning, greasing), diagnosing issues and recommending repairs, preparing maintenance reports, advising on additional services to improve performance, developing service-department processes, representing the company to contractors and owners, maintaining accurate service records, and participating in factory training; travel for national accounts/projects and training as needed. Requires strong mechanical/technical reading skills, excellent communication, ability to work independently, and proficiency with HVAC tools and software; must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of journey-level experience maintaining, repairing, and operating HVAC equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong customer-service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
