Job Summary
Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, and vane axial fans. Overhaul centrifugal chillers and perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all associated equipment. Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties while ensuring completion within allocated time. Support the office with repairs from delivery to completion and handle end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning. Work directly with the Chiller Field Supervisor on customer opportunities and issues. Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers while attending monthly safety meetings and ensuring compliance with safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of work experience at the journeyman level and technical schooling
- Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience
- Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants
- HVAC large tonnage field knowledge
- Must be available for emergency service calls on call through normal rotation
- EPA certified
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus
- Familiar with all aspects of rigging
