Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and overhaul central plant equipment including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, and cooling towers. Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance, schedule site-wide maintenance, and conduct end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning. Troubleshoot on-site equipment issues while ensuring compliance with safety policies and attending monthly safety meetings. Manage delivery from repair recommendation to completion and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors. Available for emergency service calls through normal rotation. EPA certified with five years of journeyman-level HVAC experience required.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of work experience at the journeyman level and technical schooling
- Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience
- Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants
- HVAC large tonnage field knowledge
- Must be available for emergency service calls on call through normal rotation
- EPA certified
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus
- Familiar with all aspects of rigging
