Job Summary
Group Leader for YMCA Childwatch program: supervise and engage children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in Childwatch, Parents Morning Out and Parents Night Out; ensure safety and well-being, provide for physical and emotional needs, prepare and maintain safe spaces, record attendance and communicate with parents, participate in staff meetings, and assist in fundraising efforts. Must complete mandated trainings (CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety, Mandated Reporter, Health & Safety) within 90 days and pass background checks. Uphold the organization’s four pillars of character: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to supervise groups of young children
- Pass criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children per Georgia Department of Labor and YMCA guidelines
- CPR and First Aid, Fire Safety, Mandated Reporter and Health and Safety trainings within 90 days of employment
