Job Summary
Provide 1:1 care for a 16-year-old girl with a spinal cord injury in her family home, including personal care, bowel management and catheter care, driving to school and appointments, and overnight support. Ensure her safety, comfort, and independence, supporting daily routines and activities such as reading, watching films, and listening to music. Shifts are wake/sleep nights (18:30–09:00) on Thursdays and Fridays. Requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle to drive the client’s manual car. Full nurse-led training and ongoing clinical support are provided, with DBS check and induction. Excellent interpersonal skills, kindness, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships are essential, as is comfort working in a family home with a dog.
