Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher with planning, organizing, and providing a comprehensive therapeutic childcare program to children with and without special needs to enhance their development. Conduct daily activities to facilitate individual learning experiences identified in the Individual Support Plan (ISP) or Plan of Care. Supervise children to ensure safety at all times, provide assistance with personal care including feeding, grooming, and toileting, and maintain assigned documentation and participant records. Greet parents, visitors, and volunteers to ensure a welcoming environment while adhering to all ESWG policies and licensing standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Ability to obtain fingerprint criminal background check clearance
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
- Ability to interpret and carry out written or oral instructions
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Rating of 20 (meets expectation) or higher on all performance reviews
Desired Qualifications
- Education or experience working with children and/or adults in a rehabilitation, educational or child care facility
