Job Summary
Children's Skill Builder for Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. is a full-time role focused on delivering age-appropriate skill-building interventions to support cognitive, social, and emotional development of children. Responsibilities include accepting referrals, providing rehabilitative services aligned with treatment plans, participating in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, delivering and supporting group services, tailoring support to individual learning needs, fostering family and community integration, coordinating services across community settings, delivering trauma-informed care with cultural and linguistic competence, ensuring timely documentation, and performing duties as assigned by the Program Director. Must have a high school diploma or credential with 3 years’ experience in children’s mental health, addiction, or foster care; degree in psychology, social work, or human services preferred; valid NYS driver’s license; background checks required; strong communication skills; opportunities for PTO, wellness time, sick time, holidays, and comprehensive health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or State Education Commencement Credential with minimum 3 years experience in children's mental health, addiction and/or foster care
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, social work or human services field is preferred
- Must pass all required background checks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid NYS driver's license
