Job Summary
Conduct developmentally appropriate, play-based, trauma-informed programming for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children during evening and weekend program nights. Lead and actively run kids' program nights by directly interacting with children, facilitating activities, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment while maintaining site security. Clean and reorganize program space at the end of each shift and drive the company van to transport families to and from events. Work alongside volunteers to support program activities and coordinate quarterly family events in collaboration with the Children's Services Manager. Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries with residents, staff, and donors while building positive relationships within the community.
Required Qualifications
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and active in a Christian church
- 2 years' experience working with children
- Experience working with kids from diverse backgrounds
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Washington state driver's license and ability to travel to offsite meetings
- Clean driving record for at least the past 5 years
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in related field preferred
- Experience with or understanding of Trauma-Informed Care is preferred
