Children's Residential Support Worker

Join The Witherslack Group as a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Grange-over-Sands. You’ll support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs in our homes, helping with daily routines (getting them ready for school, homework support, planning activities) and providing care that enables positive outcomes. The role includes evenings and weekends activities, creating lasting memories, and participating in a team-focused environment that celebrates progress, resilience, and empathetic engagement. You’ll start Life as an RSW via the Care Academy – four weeks of off-the-job training with experienced professionals; if you don’t have the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, the employer will fund study and support your progression. The post emphasizes safeguarding, inclusion, and delivering high-quality, holistic care within a supportive, diverse team. The package includes a base salary (£29,034–£35,400) with up to four paid sleep-ins per month (£80 per sleep) and additional allowances, generous holiday, progression opportunities, and comprehensive benefits (pension, life insurance, employee discounts).
