Job Summary
Operations Manager responsible for overseeing multiple children's residential homes across Nottinghamshire, with a split work pattern including one day per week from the Leadership Team HQ and four days on-site across homes. Lead and mentor Registered Managers, embed high-performance, values-led practice, oversee quality, contracts, audits and safeguarding, support multi-site performance and development, manage budgets and funding opportunities, collaborate with in-house therapeutic teams, and drive the launch of new homes. Requires substantial management experience in children's residential care, eligibility to progress toward Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, a track record of strong Ofsted inspections, a full driving licence, willingness to travel, and excellent stakeholder relations. Values-driven role focused on improving outcomes for children and young people within a supportive, safe, and compliant organizational culture.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in management roles within Children’s Residential Care
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) to become qualified within 2 years of appointment
- Track record of successful Ofsted inspections
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel frequently across the region
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trusted relationships
- Knowledge of key legislation and standards including Children’s Homes Regulations, Children Acts, safeguarding frameworks
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as required
