Job Summary
Support the delivery of engaging after-school programming aligned with Ontario After School Program Guidelines, including physical activity, recreation, arts, education, and nutrition-based activities for children aged 4–12. Lead group activities while supervising participants at all times to ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured environment. Promote positive behaviour, resolve conflicts, and respond to incidents according to Club protocols. Collaborate with Site Coordinators, Program Staff, and volunteers to adapt quickly to varying site environments and program needs. Maintain professional communication with children, parents, and supervisors, reporting concerns promptly. Assist with set-up, clean-up, attendance tracking, and equipment management across multiple locations. This relief, on-call position runs from August 25, 2025, to June 26, 2026, with shifts offered Monday to Friday between 2:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. based on coverage requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Educational background applicable to the role (ECE, CYC, SSW, Recreation, Education, or related field)
- Experience working with children aged 4–12 years in a structured setting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
- Ability to work in multiple program sites as needed
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
- Police Reference Check
Desired Qualifications
- HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification
- Experience in after-school programs, camps, or youth recreation settings
