Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care and treatments for patients in an assigned clinical area. Educate patients and family members on conditions, medication schedules, and side effects. Coordinate patient scheduling, admissions, and referrals while maintaining accurate records. Serve as a preceptor and participate in nursing councils or committees to improve patient care. Perform duties in accordance with medical center protocols, with occasional call subject to department discretion.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Knowledge of clinical nursing care procedures and protocols
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of computer systems, tools and programs
- Ability to work in a team environment
