Job Summary
Lead The Avenue Church's Kids Ministry in the Pre-K environment with vision and leadership for programming, recruit/train/develop volunteer teams, oversee weekend/midweek programming and events, ensure safe and engaging environments, develop age-appropriate curriculum aligned with church theology, partner with parents to support spiritual development at home, mentor Kids Ministry leaders, manage budgets and resources, collaborate with other ministries, and track attendance and engagement to improve ministry effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Alignment with the church’s mission, vision, and values
- Prior experience in Kids Ministry or related leadership role preferred
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings
