Job Summary
Conduct high-energy, progression-based martial arts classes for preschool and elementary-age children, guiding them through fundamentals to build confidence, discipline, and coordination. Lead small groups in a fun, positive learning environment while helping students earn colored belts and stripes to celebrate their achievements. Follow structured lesson plans to bring engaging activities to life, ensuring students develop valuable life skills through martial arts. Maintain a 2pm-4:30pm schedule at least two afternoons per week Mon-Fri, with reliable transportation and a DCF background check required. Join a supportive team at Karate Zoo, presented by Amazing Athletes, dedicated to youth enrichment.
Required Qualifications
- Available during 2pm-4:30pm at least two afternoons per week Mon-Fri
- Must enjoy working with children and creating a fun, positive learning environment
- Passion for science, medicine, education, or hands-on learning
- Comfortable leading small groups of preschool and/or elementary-age children
- Reliable, energetic, patient, and professional
- Must be able to follow lesson plans and bring activities to life in an engaging way
- Must pass a DCF background check and meet all required childcare/school clearance requirements
- Reliable transportation required
