Job Summary
Lead hour-long healthy cooking enrichment classes for children ages 3-18, guiding them through hands-on preparation of global recipes while teaching basic kitchen skills, nutrition, and food history. Review weekly curricula, shop independently for fresh ingredients, and manage engaging sessions with groups of 8-14 kids using provided equipment and tools. Commit to teaching full sessions ranging from 4-12 weeks, working part-time 2-5 days per week between 2-5pm. Pass a fingerprint background check and maintain a Washington Food Worker Card. Required Qualifications
- Availability at least 2 days a week (Monday - Friday, between 2-5pm)
- Commitment to teaching full sessions (ranging from 4-12 weeks)
- Washington Food Worker Card (can obtain before teaching)
- Ability to manage and engage a group of 8-14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels
- Upon hire, employees will be required to pass a fingerprint background check
- Access to reliable transportation
