Children’s Community Support Counselor

Job Summary
Provide outpatient community-based counseling and Functional Support Services (FSS) in home, school or other community settings to support treatment plan objectives. Deliver Individual Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBSI) to develop coping strategies and reduce symptoms. Offer Family Training and Counseling (FTC) to promote resiliency and recovery. Provide Crisis Intervention (CI) during acute symptom exacerbations to ensure safety. Maintain timely documentation and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure wrap-around family systems care. Generate 21 hours of billable service weekly (eligible for incentive pay for exceeding productivity). Participate in appropriate committees and uphold confidentiality and professional standards. Must maintain professional memberships, licenses, accreditations, and related certifications. Facilitates on-the-job training and development opportunities. Optional participation in a Master’s degree partnership program with NE College for MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with requirements including full-time status, degree, and commitment. Location: Derry, NH; full-time role with on-site expectations. Primary duties include engagement with clients aged 3–21 experiencing mental illness or significant emotional difficulties, documentation, and collaboration with other providers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Associate’s degree with two years direct service may qualify
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical situations
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Ability to document effectively in clinical work
- Ability to navigate an electronic health record (EHR)
- Ability to work as part of a clinical team and self-directed
- Commitment to professional development and licensure/certifications
- Effective communication and organizational skills
