Job Summary
Provide one-on-one services to children with serious emotional disturbances within SCMH's Community-Based Program, helping families access resources and reintegrate into the community. Develop continuous supportive relationships with identified clients and families, assist with targeted case management and care coordination, maintain direct client and family contacts in their natural environment, and support client autonomy through strengthened coping and community integration. Maintain accurate progress notes and treatment-plan updates, follow clinical supervision guidance, advocate for clients, build connections with community agencies, and participate in required trainings. Hours vary by client need; minimum of 57.5% direct contact with clients per week. Requires a BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience), valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and successful background checks. Includes benefits such as 401(k) with match, vacation, sick leave, life insurance, LTD, and health/dental/vision coverage; $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time 12-month commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Have a BA/BS degree or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education, with one year of experience substitution for one year of education.
- Must have the ability to communicate positively and effectively with others, and to work independently as well as be a productive part of a team.
- Must have a dependable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Must provide proof of insurance.
- Pass a criminal background and driver’s license check to the satisfaction of SCMH.
