Job Summary
As a Bank Children and Young Person’s Occupational Therapist, you will provide client-centred and evidence-based services to a caseload of babies, children, and young people in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include undertaking specialist assessments, providing individualised interventions, and educating families and carers. You are expected to demonstrate competency in standardised assessments, promote patient dignity and safety, and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. The role requires enhanced DBS clearance, HCPC registration, and up-to-date knowledge of paediatric conditions, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Proven up-to-date knowledge and experience in a variety of conditions with babies, children and young people including neurology, neurodevelopment, DCD and sensory processing
- Knowledge of standardised paediatric assessments and outcome measures and competent in administering and analysing them
- Sound clinical reasoning skills
- Commitment to multi-disciplinary team working
- Evidence of recent CPD
- Record of up-to-date Safeguarding Children level 3 training
- UK healthcare experience
