Job Summary
The Children and Family Health Director leads the Sedgwick County Health Department’s Children and Family Health Division, overseeing grant-funded programs (Children’s Dental Clinic, Healthy Babies, WIC) and ensuring grant compliance. Responsibilities include program planning/management, budgeting, staff supervision (4 directs overseeing 47 total staff), performance management and quality improvement, interagency collaboration, and serving as a public-facing representative to partners. Requires a Master’s degree and substantial public health/administrative experience, with driving privileges.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business, or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Four years of related experience in public health or a health care setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years of administrative and/or managerial experience in a public health or healthcare setting
- Valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance
