Job Summary
The Childcare Teacher at YMCA is responsible for planning and implementing classroom activities tailored to children’s needs and developmental levels. In addition, the teacher ensures the safety and wellbeing of the children while maintaining effective communication with parents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if performing driving responsibilities)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university preferred
- Six months experience working in early childhood field strongly preferred
Additional Requirements
- Candidates without a valid license may still be hired but will not be eligible to drive YMCA vehicles until requirements are met.
