Job Summary
Coordinate and implement individual education plans for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years while supporting the lead teacher in providing a safe, educational learning environment. Positively engage with children using Conscious Discipline methods to foster social-emotional development, early language, literacy, and physical growth. Review lesson plans and child goals with the lead teacher, develop activities appropriate for infants and toddlers, and assist in completing formal and informal assessments. Identify developmental concerns, maintain classroom supplies and routine care duties including meal preparation and diapering, and develop open communication with families to strengthen home-school connections. Attend scheduled trainings and staff meetings as requested.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to lift 25-35 lbs
- Ability to walk, kneel, sit, and stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) or related field
- 2+ years teaching experience in a childcare environment
