Childcare Teacher Assistant

Job Summary
Conduct hands-on instruction and high-quality care for children aged six weeks to five years within the childcare program. Participate in classroom activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, physical, language, and daily living skill development. Assist in planning, preparing, and cleaning up daily activities while maintaining a clean, orderly environment that adheres to sanitation and safety guidelines. Support children with self-care tasks and assist with writing and posting daily schedules and lesson plans. Maintain positive relationships with children, staff, and parents while working under the guidance of the classroom teacher. Meet yearly requirements for continuing education and know fire, disaster, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- AHCA fingerprint clearance
- DCF 45 hour Introductory Training within 12 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in an early childhood program
