Job Summary
Substitute Teacher at Montessori Kids Universe responsible for maintaining a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Follows lesson plans, manages classroom behavior, supports students' academic and social development, and ensures school policies are followed. Supervises students throughout the day, communicates information to the regular teacher, collaborates professionally with administrators and staff, and performs other duties as assigned. Position is part-time and on-call with flexible workdays and hours. Requires the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and respond quickly in emergencies. Strong classroom management, communication skills, adaptability across grade levels, reliability, and professionalism are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels and classroom environments
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment
