Job Summary
Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and group sessions while providing homework assistance. Maintain a safe, healthy, and fun environment by acting as a positive role model and observing state guidelines and host school policies. Communicate daily with parents via the Playground App and report to the program ready to work at designated times until the last child leaves. Certain positions may also manage accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing. This role supports the Before and After School Program team at Port Allegany Elementary School, where we shape the future of accessible childcare across 150 locations.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Warm, friendly, and upbeat
- Exceptional people skills
- Professional
- Reliable
- Prompt
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to report to the program ready to work at designated times
- Must be prepared to stay until the last child leaves the program
- Must observe and follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13
