Job Summary
Provide hands-on childcare and supervision for Healthy Kids Programs' Before & After School Program at Candlewood Elementary School in Brookfield, CT. Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework help), maintaining a safe, healthy, clean, and engaging environment, serving as a positive role model, reporting to work at designated times and staying until the last child leaves, communicating with parents daily via the Playground App, and following state guidelines and host policies. Some roles may involve management duties such as attendance, registration, and staffing. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with employer-paid childcare benefits and additional benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience with kids under 13
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Warm, friendly, upbeat
- Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.)
