Job Summary
Coordinates services under the direction of the Director of Children’s Services to provide consistent quality care for the children served in the Child Development Center. Follows all Texas DFPS childcare standards and ensures the safety of all children. Provides developmentally appropriate learning experiences, leads games and activities, assists with parent/child programming, maintains clean childcare areas, documents child progress and incidents, and provides transportation as needed. Requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), 1-3 years’ related experience (or equivalent), and CDA credential (preferred); CDL license preferred. Performs routine duties and participates in training to stay compliant with state licensing and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
- If not already credentialed, employee must be willing to work on obtaining their CDA while employed at Nexus
- Clean driving record and all training required by agency
- CDL license preferred
