Job Summary
Site Director for Healthy Kids Programs at Mercer Elementary School (Harrodsburg, KY) leads before/after school program for ages 5–12, plans daily activities, supports staff, ensures safety and licensing compliance, communicates with families via Playground App, and participates in outreach. Responsibilities include planning enrichment projects, supervising staff, implementing curriculum, maintaining high-quality program delivery, and upholding a positive, inclusive environment during after-school hours (6:30 am–7:30 am and 3:00 pm–5:30 pm). Requires childcare leadership experience, appropriate education credentials, and compliance with TB/testing/licensing requirements. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent documentation
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development OR Associate’s degree or higher in another field plus 12 hours of child development training or three years of verifiable full-time paid experience with children
- Director’s Credential in Early Childhood Development plus one year of verifiable full-time paid experience with children OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential plus one year of verifiable paid experience OR High school diploma plus three years of verifiable full-time paid experience with children
- TB Skin Test or Health Professional Statement free from TB
- A Commonwealth Child Care Credential does not meet director qualification requirements
- Cumulative eligibility criteria are based on state licensing requirements for school-age childcare leadership
- Experience documenting employment dates through letters from previous employers
