Job Summary
Director of an after-school program overseeing compliance, curriculum-aligned activities across fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support; manages daily operations, attendance/registration, staffing levels; ensures clear communication with parents via the Playground App; collaborates with supervisor to maintain high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving; requires supervisory experience with children, credentials related to school-age care, and the ability to meet physical demands (lifting up to 50 pounds). Part-time schedule 2:50-6:00 pm at Haldane Elementary School, Haldane, NY; employer-paid childcare and comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field with 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience
- School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience
