Job Summary
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of infants to preschoolers while developing age-appropriate daily activities that promote learning and development. Feed, diaper, and attend to hygiene needs following health protocols, and maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom areas. Foster a positive, inclusive environment by encouraging positive behavior, supporting transitions between activities, and collaborating with staff during team meetings. Maintain accurate records of development, attendance, and incidents while communicating daily updates to parents and guardians. Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and emergency procedures, including the ability to respond quickly to cries, chokes, or emergencies. This Full-Time role (Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p) is located at KidTown Daycare within Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky, supporting the facility's commitment to employee family care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BLS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a love for working with children
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and best practices in early childhood care
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Dependability and commitment to safety and consistency
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to hear: Infants cry or choke; Children call for assistance; Intercom messages (Emergency Procedure Notification) over noises of children; Doors open
Desired Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center or similar setting
- Experience working with both infant and preschool-aged children
