Job Summary
Provide supervision of children after school and assist the Childcare Specialist with planning before/after school activities in Paradise Valley. Position supports a school-age program; duties include maintaining rapport with students and staff, preparing site and activities, supervising children at all times, administering first aid when necessary, and ensuring behavior aligns with district and program policy. Must meet staff qualifications per Arizona rules, be 18+, and demonstrate effective communication. Requires completion of verifiable training hours each year and credentials such as high school diploma or equivalency with childcare experience, college credit in early childhood education, or a related associate/bachelor degree.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and six months of qualifying child care experience
- At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university including at least 6 credits in early childhood education and 6 months qualifying childcare experience
- N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P., or C.P.C. credential
- Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or closely related field
