Job Summary
Supervise children at all times while assisting the Childcare Specialist with before and after school program planning. Establish rapport with students, employees, and the community, ensuring site and activities are prepared prior to arrival. Administer first aid when necessary and maintain acceptable behavior standards consistent with district policy. Treat every child with respect and keep the specialist informed of student activities. Share and participate in clean up activities while maintaining required training hours. Split shift required from 6:45 A.M. to 8:45 A.M. and 2:15 P.M. to 6:15 P.M.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the staff qualifications to be a teacher-caregiver under section R9-5-401 of the Arizona Administrative Code
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Provide written documentation of one of the following: A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and six months of qualifying child care experience
- At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university including at least 6 credits in early childhood education and 6 months qualifying childcare experience
- N.A.C., C.D.A., C.C.P., or C.P.C. credential
- Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or closely related field
- Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
- Background in early childhood education or related fields
- Hold current first aid and CPR certification or be able to obtain within 30 days
- Effective communication skills

- Six months of qualifying child care experience
- 6 credits in early childhood education
