Job Summary
Site Director for Healthy Kids Programs' Before & After School program at Golden Hill Elementary School in Warwick, NY. The Site Director will lead all aspects of program operations for the 2025-2026 school year, ensuring compliance with state regulations and host school requirements; plan and lead engaging activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support); oversee daily operations including attendance/registration tracking and staffing levels; maintain clear family communication using the Playground App; collaborate with the direct supervisor to maintain high-quality care, staff morale, and proactive problem-solving; part-time, non-exempt, with employer-paid childcare and a range of benefits; must possess appropriate education/credentials and supervisory experience as outlined in the qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience
- School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Must be medically cleared to perform all essential job functions and free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
- Demonstrates a warm, positive, and professional demeanor, with strong communication and relationship-building skills when interacting with children, families, and colleagues
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as actively supervising and engaging with energetic school-age children
