Job Summary
Instruct children in age-appropriate activities according to approved curriculum plans that align with the Center's philosophy. Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment by setting up classrooms, sanitizing materials, and ensuring readiness for prospective family tours. Treat children with dignity while recognizing individual learning styles to provide developmentally appropriate guidance. Supervise children in classrooms and playgrounds, report injuries or suspected abuse immediately, and partner with leadership on parent conferences and follow-ups. Plan and conduct daily parent feedback sessions while maintaining confidentiality of all family information. Attend mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and complete annual state licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience by DCDEE- Credentialed as a lead teacher
- Knowledge of Early childhood education curriculum
- Documentation of a clean background check
- Associates Degree or Higher
- Must meet minimum State requirements with documentation from DCDEE
- Ability to work flexible schedule consistent with hours of operation, and ability to adapt hours to the needs of the business
