Job Summary
Lead Teacher for the Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Manchester Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA. Part-time, non-exempt role with hours 7:00-9:00 am and 3:45-6:00 pm. Responsible for creating and facilitating hands-on activities (fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, group activities) following the Healthy Kids Curriculum; assist students with homework; maintain a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment; serve as a positive role model; stay on-site until dismissal; communicate daily with parents via the Playground App; follow state regulations and host school policies; assist with attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
- Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience
- 18 years of age
- Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
- Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
- Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
