Job Summary
Lead Teacher for the Healthy Kids After School Program at Patrick Springs Primary School in Patrick Springs, VA, working 3:00 pm–6:00 pm part-time. Responsibilities include facilitating hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art, homework help), maintaining a safe and engaging environment, communicating with parents via the Playground App, adhering to state and program policies, and potentially performing management tasks such as attendance, registration, and staffing. Requires at least 18 years old and a high school diploma or equivalent; Virginia-specific qualification pathways or related credential/degree as outlined; ability to pass a VDOE background check; physical ability to bend, stretch, lift (up to 50 lbs), and supervise children aged 5–12. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Virginia-Approved Qualification Pathways (one of: Director qualification pathways or Bachelor’s degree in child-related field or 3 months programmatic experience plus credentials or 48 semester hours with child-related subjects and 3 months programmatic experience)
- Must pass Virginia Department of Education background check
- Medically cleared to perform all duties including TB
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Punctual and dependable
