Job Summary
Involves planning, development, and monitoring of activities in school age and day camp programs, requiring direct interaction with children and a variety of administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Ability to obtain a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children
- Minimum of 1 year of office administration and customer service experience
- 1 year minimum of supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if driving responsibilities are required)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous licensed childcare experience
- Supervisory experience
- Strong planning and program development skills
- Computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
Additional Requirements
- Must have supervision experience
- Candidates without a valid driver’s license may still be hired but will not be eligible to drive YMCA vehicles until requirements are met
