Provide care for children in assigned groups, stressing individual needs within the developmental framework of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Create environments and provide experiences conducive to a child's continuing growth, offering opportunities for successful encounters with adults, peers, and the physical environment. Plan activities to challenge children within the context of their appropriate developmental levels and assist in developing feelings of confidence and well-being. Support designated classroom planning and adhere to developmentally appropriate practices. Requirements include a current Level 2 AHCA background clearance, HS Diploma or equivalent, and DCF Introductory 40 clock-hour Child Care Training. Specific roles demand 18 months of related experience, a National Early Childhood Certificate, or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Salary ranges from $17.35 to $27.30 hourly. This role is available at our two licensed centers in Sarasota, serving children from six weeks to 5th grade.
