Job Summary
Provide attentive, responsive care to children in assigned rooms or groups, maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for ages 4 months to 6 years. Assist with daily routines including activities, meals, naps, diaper changes, and bathroom breaks while supporting social-emotional development through positive guidance. Adapt activities to individual needs, document attendance and meals, and communicate children's experiences to parents during drop-off and pick-up. Adhere to Vermont childcare licensing regulations, maintain appropriate ratios, and participate in staff meetings and professional development. Work cooperatively with room leads and other caregivers to support seasonal programming and facility organization.
Required Qualifications
- Certified in pediatric first aid and in infant and child CPR
- 1 year experience working with children in grade 3 or younger
- Genuine enjoyment of and respect for children
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on floor, and actively engage with children
- Clear communication skills and professional demeanor
- Reliability, patience, and positive attitude
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays during peak resort seasons
