Job Summary
Conduct constant supervision and care for children in the Day Care room, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and organized play activities. Maintain accurate records of attendance, payments, and medical information while handling reservations and schedules. Check each child for signs of ill health, remove sick children from the room, and alert parents regarding special needs or behavioral issues. Keep toys clean and disinfected, and discipline children when required to maintain orderly interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Baby-sitting/child-care experience in a group setting
- Demonstrated ability to work lovingly and positively with children
- CPR certified
- Available to work varied schedules including nights and weekends
- Knowledge of general childcare techniques
- Knowledge of health and safety precautions concerning children
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and healthful environment
- Ability to relate to and entertain children
- Ability to develop rapport with parents showing concern and attention to any special care requirement
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
