Job Summary
Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for young children by assisting with daily routines, activities, and material preparation. Maintain active supervision to ensure children's safety while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers, and collaborate professionally with the teaching team and administration. Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities while maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization. Work Monday through Friday in a flexible split-shift schedule, with hours ranging from 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Current clearances
- Health assessment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- CDA
- ECE coursework
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience in a NAEYC Accreditation Plus or Keystone STARS program
